It’s me, Meaghan! ♥
Simply put, this is what excites me. It adds inspiration and color to my otherwise number-driven world working as a CPA. I hope to share my love of love, my love of gatherings, and of course – my love of food! It’s inspiration for all things party, all things DIY, all things yummy + delicious, and all things fun! After finding so many unique ideas online, it only felt right to contribute a few of my own.
Growing up in Los Angeles, I’ve experienced a variety of different foods and cultures. My fondest childhood memories are baking in the kitchen with my mother and grandmother. There were countless lessons learned. First, the importance of preparing ahead of time, and being ready for what comes next. Then the precision of measuring each ingredient and the science of creating something from nothing. All of this with the patience to wait while it bakes and cools, and the courage to fail and keep trying. It is about passion and love above all else.
My Great Grandmother was born in Croatia and immigrated to America as an adult. She was known for baking breads and cookies, and cooking delicious mostaccioli pasta (yummy & meaty croatian pasta with red sauce). I’ve never seen a pic where she wasn’t in the kitchen or hosting. Here’s one below ↡

I have fond memories of the preparation for the holidays – the biggest one in my family being Christmas. Smells of seafood fill the home during dinner and the taste of anise at dessert. Cooking was a way to pass on traditions from generations prior, and eating was the excuse that brought us all there. Somehow the cooking connected us to our ancestors. It was always so much more than just food. It was the love of family and the importance of tradition.
Planning my wedding and celebrating my big day was once in a lifetime. It was humbling and fulfilling to see all my favorite people in one place. My love for weddings lasted long after my very own special day. I was inspired by all the creative ideas online. It only feels right to contribute a few of my own. I hope it can help inspire your next event!
